From 17 July 2026, AusPost will only accept 10-digit HS Codes for parcels going to the US. Items without a 10-digit HS code will receive an error when attempting label creation:
"HS Tariff Code for destination country US must be 10 numeric characters"
Customers no longer have the option to apply 6 or 8-digit HS Codes on outbound parcels headed for the US from Australia.
